Emmanuel Macron Visit Sri Lanka: French President Emmanuel Macron visited historic Sri Lanka. Macron discussed bilateral cooperation and an open and inclusive Indo-Pacific region with a Sri Lankan delegation led by President Ranil Wickremesinghe. This visit is the first visit by a French President to Sri Lanka. Macron reached Sri Lanka on the night of 28 July. The Sri Lankan President last met Macron in Paris in June.
