BRRO Education Association Organizes Menstrual Health Awareness Programs in Schools in Bhadakui, Sehore, MP

Bhadakui, Sehore, (Madhya Pradesh) July 12  : In a significant step towards promoting menstrual hygiene and awareness, BRRO Education Association has launched a series of menstrual health awareness programs in schools across Bhadakui, Sehore, Madhya Pradesh. This initiative is part of BRRO Education Association’s ongoing commitment to enhancing community health and education.

The programs aim to educate young girls about menstrual health, breaking the taboos and myths associated with menstruation, and providing essential information on proper hygiene practices. The sessions include interactive workshops, distribution of educational materials, and free sanitary pads to ensure that no girl misses school due to a lack of menstrual hygiene products.

Rajneekant  Barkhne, Director at BRRO Education Association, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “Menstrual health is a critical issue that affects the well-being and educational opportunities of young girls. By educating them and providing the necessary resources, we aim to create a supportive environment where they can thrive without stigma or obstacles.”

The program has received overwhelming support from local schools and the community. Teachers and health educators are actively involved in the sessions, ensuring that the information is delivered effectively and sensitively. The initiative also includes training for school staff to continue providing support and education on menstrual health.

Amar  Smruti  Dhurve, a volunteer at BRRO Education Association, shared his thoughts: “This program is not just about distributing sanitary pads; it’s about empowering young girls with knowledge and confidence. We are proud to see the positive impact it is already having in our community.”

BRRO Education Association’s menstrual health awareness programs are a part of a broader strategy to improve health and education in rural areas. The organization plans to expand these programs to more villages in the coming months, with the goal of reaching as many girls as possible.
